Hi, I’m Adam and I am a photgrapher.

I am a full-time professional photographer and have been doing this photography thing for over ten years.

I photograph heaps of weddings and elopements all over Australia. I love photographing fun crazy families. And I love the artistic and creative nature of maternity photography and dance photography.

This is my little family and who I support with my photography. I started photography over ten years ago while travelling around the world with my now wife Kim. I loved capturing the beautiful landscapes of the countries that we travelled to. 

Like most photographers, it started out as a hobby. Then I photographed a couple of friends weddings and it literally skyrocketed from there. We still run a very successful wedding photography business (Cavanagh Photography) and currently shoot around fifty weddings a year.

I prefer to photograph people over objects, items, room interiors or buildings. And I love the soft natural light of early mornings or late afternoons.

I offer professional wedding & portrait photography because that is what I love to photograph. When I first started out on this crazy photography journey I photographed everything. Landscapes, buildings, objects, abstracts and just stuff. But I was never really happy with the photos. I would be photographing a beautiful landscape at sunset. The light and everything was perfect but I always thought something was missing. And the one thing I always thought was that the photo needed was someone in it. A person or people. I love portraiture.

I love capturing peoples personalities in photos and also people in beautiful landscapes. I like to get up close and get facial expressions and I like to go far away and capture whole the scene and the landscape.
