Laura & Shaun | A Relaxed Central Coast Engagement Session

Laura and Shaun’s engagement session took us through some of the most naturally beautiful spots on the Central Coast at Lake Munmorah Conservation Area. And it was the perfect mix of calm, coastal and a little bit wild. We got rain, windy, rainbows and then torrential rain. But it was still awesome!

We started in the Lake Munmorah Conservation Area, where the landscape feels quiet and open, with soft light filtering through and plenty of space to slow things down. It’s such a great location for engagement photography if you want a relaxed, natural feel without distractions or crowds. Laura and Shaun settled into it straight away, no stiff posing, just easy conversation and natural movement.

From there we headed to the headland, where the scenery shifts and opens up. This part of the coastline has a rugged, untouched feel that photographs beautifully, especially in the late afternoon. The contrast between the lake, bushland and ocean is what makes this area so good for engagement sessions, it gives variety without needing to rush.

We finished at Birdie Beach as the light softened, with the wind, dunes and ocean adding that effortless coastal energy. It’s one of those places that feels raw and real, and it suited Laura and Shaun perfectly. The session felt more like a fun get-together with friends rather than a photoshoot, which is always the goal.
