Centennial Park Maternity Photography

The Centennial Park maternity photography session with Chloe and Tarrant was a pretty awesome way to spend an afternoon and a great way to celebrate the beginning of a new chapter in their lives.

I met this amazing couple a few years ago when I photographed their wedding in Sydney. Which was amazing!! So it was fantastic to catch up with them for the maternity photography session. And I love that I can keep photographing important milestones in their lives.

I love maternity photography and I recommend all soon-to-be-parents think about getting some maternity photos done. I always think that huge milestones in life should be professionally photographed. And there is no bigger milestone than being pregnant and about to have a baby.

Trust me as a Dad of two little girls. Get maternity photos to show your kids how happy you are that they are coming into your life. Show your kids how in love you are. And to show yourselves how well-rested you were… how little grey-hairs you had hahaha.

Centennial Park is my favourite park in Sydney for maternity photography. It is an amazing place for photographers and for photography in general. It is 189-hectares of varied parklands with over 15,000 trees. There are forests, lakes, creeks, swamps, bats, sporting fields, heritage buildings, huge fig trees, long grass. It is also steeped in Australian history dating back to 1811 and even earlier than that with the traditional Aboriginal landowner, the Gadi people.

For Centennial Park maternity photography we can easily walk or drive all around the park and still only photograph a small section. For this session, we really only went to a couple of my favourite places around the park. I love that there are so many trees and wilderness in the park that at times it doesn’t feel like you are in the busiest city in Australia.
